Large Technology Company Analysis
Large technology companies are a considerably different animal from an analysis perspective than small technology companies. By the time these companies have reached their gargantuan size, the business model and profitability have been proven. This takes much of the mystery that plagues the analysis of small companies out of the equation.
Unfortunately these companies bring their own host of difficulties to the analysis spectrum. Large companies often lack much of the agility and flexibility that helped them achieve their dominance. In fact they often have trouble bridging the culture gap to being a profit making large-scale company.
Additionally, because their profits are built on innovation, as they become more evolutionary, instead of revolutionary, they are poised to be supplanted by a young upstart. Even technologies that seem nearly indomitable can be brought low by a key invention. Thus these companies are not always a simple matter to evaluate.?
