Liberal Political News
In the 21st century political "news" has a unique meaning. No one bats an eye at discussion of "liberal" or "conservative" news. There is an expectation that most news comes with a bias and consumers tend to seek out the bias that matches their own.
While cable channels have shown this bifurcation, the Internet is the most pronounced example. News consumers can find a blog that matches their political ideology much more closely in an environment with so many to choose from. More often than acting as opinion makers, these blogs tend to reinforce people's ideas and give them talking points to use against people with opposing views.
Because liberals tend to be more technologically savvy, the liberal Internet space is much more developed. Where conservatives tend to do well on old media like talk radio, the liberals tend to hold a bit more sway on the Internet. This of course also has to do with a liberal ideology being more popular among younger groups.
